About New England Building Officials Education Association Chapter

The New England Building Officials Education Association (NEBOEA), established in 1966, is a non-profit ICC chapter dedicated to advancing the expertise of Municipal Code Officials across New England. Comprising representatives from building officials’ associations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, NEBOEA fosters collaboration and uniformity in building code enforcement. Each year, we host a premier training event at UMass, Amherst, MA, to support our members in ensuring public safety through consistent and effective code implementation.

NEBOEA is committed to providing high-quality training and continuing education for Building Officials throughout New England. Our mission is to promote uniformity in building code enforcement and enhance public safety by equipping Municipal Code Officials with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively apply state-adopted codes and regulations in construction, use, and occupancy of structures.
